What is it?
Greyhound Kick-Off is part of your transition to Carmel High School. It is a one-day orientation for incoming ninth graders that is led by a group of CHS staff, student-mentors, and teachers. This event does NOT take the place of registration day. All freshmen must still attend registration day to have their school picture taken, pick up their schedule, etc.
What will be accomplished at this event?
You will get the chance to:
--learn how to get around Carmel High School building
--learn about important issues from 11th & 12th grade mentors called GKOMs
--meet and hear from several teachers and administrators
--learn about the many activities available at Carmel High School
--meet other incoming freshmen coming from other schools
--make new friends
--have a chance to find and open your locker
--have a chance to find your classes
When and where is it?
Friday, August 6th, 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM
The Drop-off location for all students will be entrance 13 at the Carmel High School Freshman Center.
The Pick-up location will be based on your last name:
A-H at Door 13 (Freshman Center)
I-P at Door 1 (Flagpole)
Q-Z at Door 21 (Natatorium)
Please allow extra time for extreme traffic
A $25.00 fee will cover a T-shirt, lunch, an outstanding mentorship program, and future freshman Homecoming activities.
Register by July 15th to July 20th for the guaranteed t-shirt size.
